Remembering David Brenner

Hi there. Today’s post is unfortunately a downer because of the passing of a comedian, who is not exactly a legend but a lot of people in the entertainment business know him and have been taken under his wing. David Brenner passed away after a long battle with Cancer on Saturday at the age of 78.
He was a favorite of Johnny Carson, when he was a frequent guest and guest host on the Tonight Show back in the 1970s and 1980s. He also had his own talk show called Nightlife in 1987. I remember it because it was on Global TV in Canada just after the news at 12:00 A.M, just before Late Night With David Letterman. He also released a comedy album in 1983 called Excuse Me, Are You Reading That Paper? He has influenced such big names and comedy as: Jerry Seinfeld, Paul Reiser, Richard Lewis, Jay Leno and David Letterman.
Well, unfortunately, that’s all I have to say about him. I’m sure that Johnny Carson is probably sitting back and smoking a cigarette in heaven, while David is making him laugh.
