Favorites

Hi folks and welcome to another Simpsons Sunday. This week I’m going to ask a question to all who are reading this. What season of The Simpsons is your favourite?

I would imagine that the majority of answers to this question would probably be any of the seasons from 3 to 8 and maybe to Season 10 or 11.

To be honest, I think that every season has good episodes and unfortunately not all are available to us, if we want them for ourselves on our iOS devices. However some episodes from Seasons 4 through 19 do appear on iTunes collections and of course you can always find the scripts and the story of each episode on line, if you know where to look. I have mentioned them here in past entries and you can probably find the information in the archives.

If I really had to choose a favourite season it would probably have to be either season 4 or 5. This is out of the ones that aren’t available on iTunes yet. Most of my favourite episodes are from seasons 3 to 5 but ther are some from seasons 6 to 10 that I like.

I have mentioned the episode Homers Enemy as one of my favourites and Lisas First Word as another one from that period. I also like Bart Gets Famous, as it is also a Krusty episode and includes Bart saying “I didn’t do it” as his catch fraise.

Another one I like that I haven’t mentioned before is Bart The Mother. We see how devoted he can be to animals that need love and attention, even if they turn out to be lizards. Of course we know that he didn’t mean to kill the bird when he shot at it with the BB gun and I actually felt sorry for Bart when the bird died at his hands.

I can probably name more episodes that I like from the first few seasons but I would have to think about it because there are so many. As for tonight, I am looking forward to Walking Big And Tall because Lisa is set to write Springfield its own anthem.

As usual to end each Simpsons Sunday post, I recommend checking out Chris Ladesma’s blog. He is the Music Editor for The Simpsons and has been since day 1.

I also recommend checking out Yeardley Smith’s blog at http://gobbingoff.tumblr.com
I should also mention Marchez Vous, which is her women’s shoe designer company, which she started earlier in the decade. You can check out their website at

For some strange reason everyone I know hasn’t heard of them yet. Hopefully I can change that.

It is new so, give it time to grow. You can also comment here or you can email me at blindgordie@gmail.com and I will reply as soon as I can to all messages I receive. I would much prefer getting an email so I can reply directly to you, but that’s just me.
One final thing to mention is that you can follow Simpsons Executive Producer Al Jean on Twitter and his Twitter handle is @AlJean.
He has ran the show since Season 13 and has ran it during Seasons 3 and 4.
Anyway, that is it for this weeks post. Talk to you again on Weather Wednesday.
